MarchFourth Marching Band Gets DelhiBelly-Full

Te bells, the bells. They serve me well. Here’s some jazzbo gypsy eastern-leaning brass fun for your medicine. Fishbone meets Jazz Mafia in a alleyway in Delhi for some spicy fried drum skins. Brilliant instrumental goodness that u don’t wanna sleep on. Mmm, that’s some fine playin’. Extra crispy.

Marching Band – “It Will Never Slip”

Marching Band – “It Will Never Slip”

Marching Band from Sweden wins this week’s MP3 Jackpot with “It Will Never Slip.” I feel cold just listening. These two intrepid Swedes produce an exciting sound and couple that with a gr8 song and killer vocals. Give it several listens and I’m sure you’ll agree.

Marching Band – “It Will Never Slip”

From their latest album, “Pop Cycle,” the single “It Will Never Slip” from Swedish duo Marching Band is a bittersweet pop gem. Recorded as it was during “the two most miserable winter months of the year in Stockholm,” it’s no surprise the tracks crackle with something beyond restlessness. There’s a certain claustrophobic beauty to it, if you can imagine that, an intimate quality like a small crew of Antarctic explorers singing to keep their morale up as they wait for the spring thaw. Better to light a candle than curse the darkness? This record does both, and the results are lovely.
