Razorfade’s bold, bleak “Liberation”

Razorfade – “Liberation” mp3

Certainly the challenges when writing about social, political, and global matters, change over time. The earlier 20th century world Woody Guthrie wrote his songs in was different from the 1960’s in which Bob Dylan wrote his classic protest songs, or the 70’s in which The Clash bashed out their anthems. To say the context has changed again in 2010 is an understatement. Where to begin? Insert laundry list of stupid human-made ecological, economic, moral and military disasters here. And that’s the setting for “Liberation” by Australia’s dark digi-duo, Razorfade. Sounds like Midnight Oil meets Sisters Of Mercy at the apocalypse.
