Plush Dreams On With Grace

Plush – “When Grace Grew Tall”

South Africa’s indie rock troubadours Plush seem to roam the realm of dreams just before you wake up, when you’re not sure if you’re asleep or whut. Singer Rory Eliot has a fine vocal instrument with which he rambles, in and out of tangible thoughts, between emotional observations and not-so-obscure lyrical quotes, weaving an open-ended story. I have no idea what When Grace Grew Tall is about. But like that dream you can’t quite remember but can still feel, or taste, it has meaning.
