  You know that Aurthur Petties is one of Delta Blues music’s greats because he reached notoriety by releasing just six tracks. This particular track, “Out on Santa Fe Blues,” a song about broken hearts and escaping situations, presents acoustic blues swagger hung neatly behind sultry-baritone vocals. Once the music gets going and Petties vocals chime in, you can’t help but wonder what it was like to live life during these simple but hard times.
