Mandolins, banjos, guitars, washboards, kazoos, jugs, harmonicas, and violins are never too abundant in the Memphis Jug Band. “Jim Strainer Blues” features vocals sung by Will Shade who was also called Son of Brimmer. With the various instruments used by¬†this unique ensemble, “Jim Strainer Blues” portrays the Memphis Jug Band’s¬†known interlude beautifully. Their innovative usage of instruments gives their music a unique sound.
