Back in the late 1990s any fan of electronic music was listening to downtempo on a regular basis. Artist like: DJ Shadow, Kruder and Dorfmeister, and Massive Attack were still pumping out engaging post hip-hop beats en masse. 15 years later Maasa is just one of the handful of artist are still producing beats that fall under 100 BMP. “Walking On The Moon” shows Maasa’s production maturity as his gentle sonic touches weave in and out of aural plain.
