Jelly Jaw Short – “Grand Daddy Blues” (mp3)
J.J. Short was brought to New York City in the spring of 1932 to record 2 sides for the Victoria Label. “Grand Daddy Blues” is the ‘B’ side to the second 78 released from that session. Here we hear Short’s charming southern drawl driving the delta inspired strumming of his acoustic guitar. A must have song for any blues enthusiast. Enjoy!
