My Robot Friend – “Robot High School” mp3
There have been a lot of great songs written about school daze, ranging from the amped up glory of The Ramones’ “Rock and Roll High School” to the nightmarish oppression of Pink Floyd’s “The Wall.” NYC’s My Robot Friend has a novel take on this very human subject that I can instantly relate to. The music is in that lovely 80′s new wave über-electronica vibe, a’la Gary Numan, Devo, and The Normal. Early synths and beat boxes on Ritalin. Excellent.
