The marvelous Flesh For Lulu, ladies and gents, back with more of their hyper-stylized power pop. Veterans yes, but ever youthful, the gothy rockers saw this record shelved by the sort of retardation and lack of vision only corporations seem capable of. Here is the missing Flesh For Lulu album, in which they desert their usual massive production in favor of a 4-piece combo sound and just rock. Produced by Tim Palmer (of U2, David Bowie and Pearl Jam fame) the work wins on the quality of the compositions and raw performances. Though delayed, this record emerged in ’07 to reveal Flesh for Lulu in fine form.
