Epic angular alterna-angst meets prog-rock at a gothy mansion? The better to rock you with, my dears. The Red Paintings wed crashing waves of guitar and drum mayhem with existential yowling to gr8 effect, on this title track from their “Feed The Wolf” EP. Lyrically intriguing, sonically powerful and musically challenging, this is not simple work, yet all the simmering ingredients manage to stay in the same pot to form a cohesive whole. And it doth rock.
