Ah, sweet pop. This song is as lighthearted and friendly as a lemonade on a summer day watching the Monkees. Not that it sounds like the Monkees, with Elizabeth Morris’ charming vocals and all, but for some reason the thought of those old polaroid cameras that looked all weird like Darth Vader’s head makes me see Peter Tork’s smile. London’s Allo, Darlin’ takes retro studies to a higher level with “The Polaroid Song,” a soft, pleasant romp through memories of the 70′s, and in some funny way, a romantic ode to old technology. It’s more than nostalgia, it’s love.
